Hand-made Holiday Table
Some of you have been following me through this adventure for a while now. It started back a while ago with me bribing you for ideas. Then we moved on through the process of making a paper cake. And the last part was the creation & assembly of the flatware and table details. Now, I am happy to say, I have finished my hand-made holiday table.
The only items on the table that I did not make myself are: 1) the tablecloth, 2) the silverware, 3) the glass cake plate (although it does have rub-ons to embellish it). Everything else is something I created.
Here is a close up of an individual place setting:
And here are the rest of the detail pictures:
I used the Ski Slope DS Paper for my color scheme and took my inspiration from that. Each plate has a Christmas poem printed on it and each name card is the poem’s author. The glasses are made from vellum paper, wrapped in a DSP strip and dipped in glitter on the rim.
It was a big undertaking of a project but it feels good to have contributed to this fundraiser/silent auction and to have my art displayed in a public location.
Please email me if you have any questions about anything. I’m happy to help give more details if you’re interested.
Happy Stamping & Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi! Absolutely beautiful job!
on November 27th, 2008 at 10:15 amDo you have a template for the silverware holder? I am planning a rehearsal dinner for my son’s wedding. And by the way, your table setting looks wonderful. I hope it did well for the charity! Wendy
