Loads of Love #3

I apologize for being gone all weekend, my grandfather had triple bypass on Friday morning. Thankfully he’s doing very well and will probably get to be home tonight. I did get to see my sister this weekend so that was nice – we spent a little time stamping and here is a card to show for it! :)

My third card in the Loads of Love challenge. This card uses the East Coast Prep designer series paper again. I just love the colors though – they’re so bright and fun. Anyway…the card base is Tempting Turquoise and the mat is Real Red. I stamped the little truck twice on Whisper White and twice on the East Coast Prep paper. I used my craft knife to cut out the patterned trucks. Then I stamped the people and presents on the Whisper White and did all the coloring with my Stampin’ Write® Markers. The next thing I did was use some SNAIL to adhere the patterned trucks to the card. (The official technique name is Paper Piecing.) Finally I mounted the Whisper White on Real Red, mounted that on the Tempting Turquoise card base, and stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment in Basic Black on the card base. The sentiment is from the “Family Phrases” stamp set.

I’m not sure what it is, but this East Coast Prep paper just has “Happy Birthday” written all over it. I’ll have to try and make something that’s not a birthday card. If you missed it previously, I also used the East Coast Prep paper in the Birthday Central stationery box.

One last thing before I go, I’ve started a new samples gallery here on my blog. I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. You can see it on the Samples page.

Thanks & Happy Stamping!

  1. This is so cute. I love the paper pieced trucks. I saw a copy of your newsletter on oSUDSOL and had a question. Do you make it yourself? If so, what program? I need to do a newsletter!

  3. Amy,

I use Constant Contact for my newsletter. They have lots of templates to pick from and I recently figured out how to change the colors and things.

    Thanks for asking. :)
