Inspiration challenge
Hello all. I was finally able to complete my card for the inspiration challenge on splitcoast stampers. It was IC171 – Fitz & Floyd, and what I found as inspiration was this beautiful set of pottery.
I just loved the colors and the vine/flower design. It took a while for me to decide how to get the look I wanted but this is what I came up with.\
I used my brayer and some So Saffron and More Mustard ink to created the gradient type background. It wasn’t very smooth, but I’m not a Brayer Master either. So the vine is cut out and the flowers & leaves were stamped, colored and cut out. I altered the scallops along the top edge and mounted the whole front piece on Chocolate Chip card stock. The card base is Riding Hood Red.
I used the flowers and leaves from “Time Well Spent” and the sentiment from “Summer by the Sea”. Overall I was really pleased with it. This is not how I normally would make a card, but it was a fun process and a great change of pace.
Thanks for visiting!
Happy Stamping!
