Yay, I’m a featured stamper!

Hey, I’m so excited I just had to share! Carolyn has agreed to post one of my cards on her blog. Specifically this card I made for Father’s Day.

I used Close to Cocoa for the card base. I stamped the Sanded background in Versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The end result was a neat textured card stock that seemed to “manly it up”.

I stamped the image in Staz-on Jet black on watercolor paper. I actually used my Stampin’ Write Markers and an aquapainter to color this in. I followed this tutorial by Julie Buhler.

Once I finished coloring the image, I sponged Creamy Caramel ink around the outside of the watercolor paper, just to make it look more worn & rugged. Finally I distressed the edges of the watercolor paper as well as the edges of an Old Olive mat. I attached the entire image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Anyway…I was really excited and I wanted to say thanks to Carolyn, so if you would just pop on over to her blog: Inky Do’s and say “Hi” I would appreciate it. :)

Thanks!
