Hi, there.  I can’t believe I let this go so long without posting!  I am really really sorry!  I’ve been having some health problems lately and the sickies are going around and we’re working on potty training here.  Not that any of that is an excuse, but . . .

I have a card today that was an interesting card.  I received this flower image in an image swap and really wasn’t sure what to use it for until I was hit with the urge to watercolor.

I used my Stamp ‘n’ Write markers and an Aquapainter to color the flower.  It was a little time consuming, but I think it looks good.  I cut out some extra flower petals, colored them and added them to the original flower for some more depth.

The sentiment is from “Best Yet” and I used the markers to color the words different colors.  It’s stamped on Whisper White and punched out with the 1 3/8″ circle punch.  The scallop circle is punched out of Bashful Blue card stock (same color as the card base), and the 1 3/4″ circle behind it is punched from Mellow Moss.

I used my white gel pen to add dots to each scallop in the circle, as well as to the center of each small group of flower petals.   The whole flower is raised up with dimensionals.

I think this will probably end up as a mother’s day card, but who knows!
