Baby Gift & Card
I finally finished the invitations for the baby shower. I didn’t have to make that many, but I was always running out of time. But, anyway…since I’m fairly sure the mom-to-be doesn’t read my blog, I’m showing you the gift for the upcoming shower.
I bought a baby blanket, folded & wrapped it to be a diaper. I thought it needed a little help, so I used some giant paper clips and some punches to add a topper and came up with giant diaper pins. I hope someone can tell what it’s supposed to be.
For the card, I used white card stock cut & scored to make a 4 1/4 inch square card. Then I used the retired DSP East Coast Prep, some bashful blue and more white to make the front layers. I stamped the Baby Hippo in Basic Black and colored him with the markers. I added a square clip from the retired Hodgepodge Hardware in Pewter.
Wow, I didn’t realize I’d used that much retired stuff – sorry about that! I’ll try to do better next time!
Happy Stamping!
