Rub-ons are tons of fun!

Hey there. It feels like forever since I posted a project, so I have a fun one for you. This is a pencil cup that now sits on my desk. I bought a white tumbler at wal-mart in the bathroom aisle of all places. They have some great plain things in that aisle just begging to be given a stamp-over.

Anyway…I used some of the Chocolate Chip rub-ons (Sorry these are from Sale-a-bration, but you could substitute any of the great SU! rub-ons for this project.) I’d been looking for some way to use the long vine in this set, and it finally hit me that I could wrap it around the cup. I cut around the images I wanted to use and placed them on the cup. I used a few small pieces of scotch tape to hold it in place while I rubbed the image. I had a couple of spots that got messed up, but otherwise I was proud of how well it turned out going completely around the cup.

I wish I had taken the time to make a tutorial on applying rub-ons. I did manage to find one for a similar project though: Click here to see Andrea’s tutorial.

I hope this helps you get the hang of rub-ons. Once you’ve got it, they are so much fun! If you have any questions, email me or leave me a comment here, and I’ll do my best to help you out.
