Cracked Glass Lighthouse – a new card (finally)
Okay, I finally stamped a new card. It was so much fun to do something that wasn’t cake shaped, cake flavored or cake related!
I’m not sure if this is a widely-known thing or not, but October is Pastor/Clergy Appreciation Month. Our church doesn’t have any big organized thing, but I wanted to make sure I sent a card. I knew I wanted to use this lighthouse stamp, and when I sat down to create, the colors just kind of picked themselves.
I also used the Cracked Glass technique to jazz up the image a little. Here’s a detail shot of the cracked glass technique.
I used Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss paper. The ribbon is Chocolate narrow grosgrain. I used the Sanded background stamped in Pacific Point ink. The lighthouse is stamped in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and I used Glassy Glaze & Versamark (I did three times through of inking/embossing) to do the cracked glass technique.
Don’t you just love it when a card ends up making itself? Those are the most fun for me. This one just seemed to fall into place and it went very smoothly. A nice little reminder that “Hey, I remember now, stamping is FUN!”
Happy Stamping!
