Stampin’ Up! Baby Hippo

A couple in our church is going to be having their baby boy soon, so I thought I would create a little card for him. I had my Pun Fun stamp set and East Coast Prep paper out from my last card, so I went looking for something that would be a baby card without being all pastel-y (is that a word?) and baby-ish. I found the light dots on this sheet were bashful blue and I liked that it didn’t scream out “Baby Card!!!” So, I grabbed Mr. Hippo and stamped him in Basic Black Classic ink on Whisper White. I colored him in with the Stampin’ Write Markers with a More Mustard bow tie and I used the ink pad and a blender pen to make his Wild Wasabi balloon. Mr. Hippo is mounted on a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card base is More Mustard with a sheet of the East Coast Prep DS paper on half. The sentiment is also Basic Black Classic ink and I used the small oval Hodgepodge Hardware label holder.

I’ve been working on some exciting new things coming up. You may be noticing some changes in my blog – nothing major, just a few new additions here and there. Hopefully soon I’ll be sharing my newest developments with you; it should be “Super!” (my kids watch too much tv).

Until next time,

  1. So cute! I love that it doesn’t scream “BABY” as well. That paper is perfect.
