Mr Turkey Strikes Again
Okay, first off – I was asked yesterday for the colors in Mr. Turkey & I want to apologize for leaving those out. I can’t believe I forgot to post that! So, here are the colors:
- Close to Cocoa
- More Mustard
- Ruby Red
- Old Olive
- Chocolate Chip (for the eyes and the feather lines)
Again, I’m sorry I didn’t mention that earlier. I was just so excited at how easy it was to make him I wanted to show you the tutorial. Anyway…
I found these two uses for Mr Turkey this week:
Is that so stinkin’ cute? I used a little scotch tape and a toothpick on his back and he just stands up perfectly! I was having visions of kids’ school parties or church potlucks. Made me wish my daughter was in kindergarten just so I could make some turkey cupcakes for her.
Anyway…here’s the next one, it’s a little more obvious for turkeys:
I took a 1 inch strip of Old Olive cardstock, wrapped it around the silverware & napkin and then stuck Mr. Turkey on the front. It’s a more traditional thanksgiving thing to have a napkin ring, but he just ups the cute factor.
Well, that’s all I’ve got for today. Go punch yourself some turkeys and then come back and post a link in the comments section.
I’d love to show your turkey project on my blog, but I can’t feature you, unless you post!
I made a card for SU Regional swap tomorrow (my first ever, I’m going as a guest with my demo) and I made a card using your little turkey. Of course, credit was given were credit was deserved. You can see the little guy on my blog: http://ajungleoutthere.blogspot.com

I haven’t taken a picture, yet, but I think I’ll put them on lollipops and send them to school with my boys! I also love your idea of putting them in cupcakes! So, so cute! Thanks!

I checked your blog and that card is adorable! I love Mr Turkey with the “gobble” stamp. How perfect!

Welcome and thank you for leaving a comment. That’s a great idea – sticking them on lollipops! I’d love to see a picture if you get one taken.
