Sage Latte Fun

I saw this card at Splitcoast Stampers and I just had to CASE it.

She used the retired color Mint Melody, which I don’t have. So I went with Sage Shadow. She also used th Apple Cider DS paper, which I also do not have. So, I used some Berry Bliss instead.

It’s a standard sized card base (4.25″x5.5″) in Close to Cocoa. The Sage Shadow mat is 4″x5.25″. I pierced the edges with the Mat Pack template. The next layer is Very Vanilla and the Berry Bliss DS paper; it is 3.75″x5″. I sponged some Close to Cocoa ink around the edges of the vanilla cardstock and now I’m wishing I had sponged the DS paper too. Oh, well.

The latte image is from the Pun Fun stamp set and stamped in Timber Brown Staz-On on Very Vanilla cardstock. I used my Coluzze to cut a circle around the mug & then used my corner rounder (with the guide removed) to make a scalloped edge. The mat behind that is the same size circle cut from Sage Shadow also with a scalloped edge.

Finally, the sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla, sponged with Close to Cocoa and cut to fit inside a Hodgepodge Hardware frame (Pewter). I did the faux stitching with the Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write marker. A little bit of chocolate satin ribbon finished it off.

I just love this card. I am so pleased with the way mine turned out I almost hate to send it to anyone. :) I’ve also never been a big fan of Sage Shadow, but this is a great color combination!
