Heartfelt Thanks with a Lilac Candle

I’m not sure about you, but I’m a scented candle fan.  Although I am a little picky about which scents I buy.  One of my absolute favorites is Lilac, so when I saw these candles on clearance for a quarter, I just couldn’t leave it on the shelf.  While it was riding around in my basket, I wanted to stamp on it.  But I also wanted to be able to burn it.  Hmmm……I thought about it for a while and then came up with the idea to make a belly band.  Then I can pull it off while I’m burning the candle and slide it back on when it’s just sitting.

But, I don’t have any lilac flower stamps, unfortunately, so I had to find something that would work.  I settled on Heartfelt Thanks stamped in Pale Plum and Pefect Plum.  Then I cut out around the flowers.

The actual belly band is So Saffron card stock.  The leaves are a 5 Petal Flower punched from Kiwi Kiss and cut apart.

I attached most things with just a spot or two of SNAIL so it would stand off the candle a little bit, the top flower is attached with a dimensional, so it stands out a bit more.

These little candles would be quick and easy favors for a bridal shower or fun place settings at a dinner.  You could make them in any color, even Christmas colors.  Hmmm……maybe I’ll have to go back and find some more candles.  :)

If you’re interested in ordering the supplies it took to make this project, please email me, and I’ll be happy to get you set up.

Happy Labor Day!
