Cruisin’ Topless

I saw this convertible idea several places and I didn’t really get into it until I noticed the little puppies with their ears waving in the breeze. And it’s been raining the last couple of days so it would be lots of fun to go for a ride in a convertible in the sunshine.

I used River Rock for the card base, Blue Bayou for the strip across the middle and Groovy Guava for the mat. The truck was stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White. To keep the top from showing: I put some scotch tape over the parts I didn’t want to show, inked up the stamp, removed the scotch tape and stamped the image.

I stamped the truck once on the whisper white and again on the Wild Wasabi. I paper pieced the Wild Wasabi over the top after I colored the driver & her puppies. The card base is stamped in River Rock with one of the stamps in the set “Itty Bitty Backgrounds”. The truck is from the “Loads of Love” set and the puppies are from the “Loads of Love Accessories” set. This is Card #5 in my Loads of Love Challenge.

You may also have spotted the use of a brand new punch: the bottom scalloped edge is from the brand spankin’ new Scallop Edge Punch that will be released with the new catalog on August 11.

There are some fun sets coming out in the new catalog. Demonstrators get to see a few of the new sets early. If you want to join the Stampin’ Up! family and experience things like the sneak peeks, email me. I’d be happy to get you more information.

Happy Stamping!
