Cute Chicks!

I was inspired for these mini chickies by Sandi’s Big Shot chicks.  In her post, she says, she was inspired by someone who used the scallop circle punch like these mini chickies (it wasn’t me).  So, I’m not really sure where the original idea came from, but here’s my cute chicks:

I used the Scallop Circle [...]

Altered Shelf

This shelf is one I picked up in the clearance aisle after Christmas.  It’s original contents were bath related.    I have more than enough smell-good soap, so I unloaded it and took the shelf hostage.  Here’s my plain white shelf just begging for a makeover:

I knew I wanted it to match the theme [...]

Technique Lover’s Challenge

Okay…so this little basket was so inspiring for me, I just got to work immediately!  Today’s technique lover’s challenge was this mini easter basket by Claire Brennan.   Once you see this basket, you’ll want to try it yourself!  I couldn’t believe how cute it was and just couldn’t resist.  So, to save you a step [...]

Let’s go fly a kite…

So, this past week at work, my DH had a kite contest.  So last Thursday night, he said, “Hey, wanna make me a kite?”  I asked him all sorts of questions about size, criteria, flying ability and he didn’t give me any helpful answers.  So, this is what I came up with.

A desktop kite.
I used [...]

Owl Treat Purse: Splitcoast Technique Challenge

This is my first time playing along with the Technique Lovers Challenge, but this was tons of fun and super easy!  A great challenge.
The original treat purse is found here on Julie’s blog: Paper Pleasing Ideas.  Here’s my take:

The front of the owl was inspired by this card.  I tweaked it just a bit and [...]

Bright & Fun garland

This is my latest project.  I took six sheets of various patterned paper that all used the same colors and cut it into strips.  Then, I used the origami wreath folding tutorial here to fold all the strips and put them together into different sized wreaths.

Once I had all the wreaths folded, I had to [...]

A quick & easy ornament

Here’s a quick little Christmas ornament you could do with your kids or grandkids while they’re visiting.

It’s super easy because it’s all folding – there’s no glue or mess involved.  It wasn’t my idea, so I’ll just link you to the tutorial.  I used strips of paper that start as 2 inches by 4 inches.  [...]

Oh, my, goodness!!! So many things that “have” to be done!

I’m getting too old for this!  I can’t believe how much there is to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas!  I love Christmas time and visiting with my family, but it seems like I’m always running around trying to get something done.  My poor stamping desk has got to be feeling so lonely!!!
This year there [...]

Paper Snowflake

This is a fun little project and a great way to show off some of your favorite designer series paper.  For this snowflake, I used Ski Slope DSP.

The supplies I used are Ski Slope paper, Scissors, Bone folder, Mini Glue dots, 1 eyelet, 1 brad & some ribbon.  You can get two of these snowflakes [...]

Gingerbread House

Hello, hello.  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Today’s project is an altered version of the card house available in the Punch Pals Online Class.  I used Creamy Caramel for the entire structure and decorated it to mimic a gingerbread house.  I was inspired by the gingerbread house my mother-in-law made with my [...]
