Love begins by taking care of the closest ones – the ones at home.

I’m going to be taking a break from this blog for a while.
Some of you know that I struggle with bipolar II and the last couple of months have been very difficult with mood issues set off by the smallest [...]

Punch Person 3 of 3

Finally got around to taking a picture of the third punch person for you.  This one used the tutorial from Sophia Landry directly and I only changed the colors.

I’m really looking forward to posting again.  See you soon!

Punch People: 2 of 3

I love how this one turned out. She looks so elegant in her summer Sunday best. I was really glad I had the “grace” stamp to go with her. If I was naming her, I would definitely name her Grace.
Thanks for visiting me & have a great July 4th weekend!

Punch People 1 of 3

I was so excited to try out this tutorial by Sophia Landry that I just had to share what I came up with!
I made three separate girls following the same basic tutorial. Here’s the first one:

She’s my least favorite of the three. So, hopefully you’ll come back to see the others that I [...]

Cute Chicks!

I was inspired for these mini chickies by Sandi’s Big Shot chicks.  In her post, she says, she was inspired by someone who used the scallop circle punch like these mini chickies (it wasn’t me).  So, I’m not really sure where the original idea came from, but here’s my cute chicks:

I used the Scallop Circle [...]

Color Challenge

Hey!  I just saw today that yesterday’s color challenge was Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze.  That happens to be one of my favorite combinations so I just had to play along!  Here’s what I’ve got:

I used the Flower Trio punch to make the cherry blossoms and I traced a tree onto the [...]

Owl Treat Purse: Splitcoast Technique Challenge

This is my first time playing along with the Technique Lovers Challenge, but this was tons of fun and super easy!  A great challenge.
The original treat purse is found here on Julie’s blog: Paper Pleasing Ideas.  Here’s my take:

The front of the owl was inspired by this card.  I tweaked it just a bit and [...]

Baby Gift & Card

I finally finished the invitations for the baby shower.  I didn’t have to make that many, but I was always running out of time.  But, anyway…since I’m fairly sure the mom-to-be doesn’t read my blog, I’m showing you the gift for the upcoming shower.

I bought a baby blanket, folded & wrapped it to [...]

Finished cake

I think I have the finished product now.  It doesn’t look too fancy, but there’s just a little bit more pizazz than the plain cake.

I asked around for ideas and got tons of good ones.  I wish I had more cakes to top with all these great ideas!  In the end, I decided that I [...]

Mr Turkey Strikes Again

Okay, first off – I was asked yesterday for the colors in Mr. Turkey & I want to apologize for leaving those out.  I can’t believe I forgot to post that!  So, here are the colors:

Close to Cocoa
More Mustard
Ruby Red
Old Olive
Chocolate Chip (for the eyes and the feather lines)

Again, I’m sorry I didn’t mention that [...]
